This treat is Dairy-free, Gluten-Free, Refined Sugar-Free, and a hit with my kids (and me!).
I love high-quality chocolate/cacao, full of minerals like magnesium and heart/immune healthy polyphenols. Most chocolate, however, is laden with added refined sugar and inflammatory milk - which negates the health benefits of the tiny amounts of cacao present in them...
So, I like to make my own chocolate treats. This bar can be made with any puffed wholegrain you can find - I like quinoa but feel free to sub with anything you like!
You can also throw in some pumpkin seeds for added zinc.
